We hope to visit UNC Spur (at the National Western Complex) to learn about science and its applications in careers.
Third graders may visit Majestic View Nature Center in Arvada to learn about animals, habitats, and pollution. There will be a $ 4 fee for this field trip.
Students needed to bring a lunch to eat when we return from school (it does not have to be in a paper bag, your student's everyday lunchbox is fine).
Colorado Mountains:
Third graders will spend a half day in the Colorado mountains, learning about Colorado wildlife and its habitats. We will visit Genessee Park with a DPS outdoor educator. There is no charge for this field trip, but a sack lunch will be required.
Students need to wear long pants and tennis shoes or boots (no open shoes, sandals, or Crocs). They will need to wear layers on top (shirt, jacket, coat) for Colorado mountain weather. It is 10 degrees cooler than Denver where we hike.
This field trip is scheduled by the district, date TBD.
